HTHS Class of 1996

As a student at HTHS, Jeff participated in Football earning 3 Varsity letters and was Captain his Senior year. As a Wrestler he earned 2 Varsity letters and as a member of the Track/Field team he also earned 3 Varsity letters. Jeff was part of various MSL championship teams for wrestling and track/field as well as an individual scholar athlete. As a wrestler, he was a 2-time 189 lb. League Champion and earned 1st Team MSL honors both years. He went on to participate and become a Sectional Champ and District Qualifier both his Junior and Senior Year. He placed 6th in the District his Senior Year. As a track/field athlete, Jeff earned a school record throw of 159' 11" in the Discus breaking an old record set in 1967! He was MSL Champion in Discus in 1995 and 1996, District Champion in Discus in 1996, and was 1st team all mid-state league both years in discus. In 1996 he was on the All-Central District track and field team. He went on to the State qualifier in 1996 and placed 10th! He was the 1996 Discus Champion at Fairfield Union, Teays Valley and the HTHS Elmo Kallner Invitationals. Jeff went on to play Football at the college level at Ohio Wesleyan University.
