Amber (Trimble) Thrash
Resides: Reynoldsburg, OH
2005 Graduate
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Amber (Trimble) Thrash has always been a quiet force who spoke loudly through her actions. Her mother often speaks of how stubborn she was as child, and how dead set she was on setting and achieving her goals. It is the same determination that remained with her as she entered high school.
In 2002, Amber entered Hamilton Township High School. Unassumingly, she joined the track and field team to pass time while in school, but that quickly became an outlet she dominated. Amber qualified for OHSAA state championships in the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays her freshman year. During her sophomore year, Amber, again, qualified for the State Championships in the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays. She and her relay team finished as the state runner-up in 4x100 meter relay, and the girls' track team finished as the overall runner-up in the 2003 OHSAA State Track and Field Championships. Amber also played on the girls' tennis team as a freshman as well.
During Amber’s junior year, she qualified for the 100m dash at the state meet, and Amber’s sheer determination fueled her to continue to achieve. Amber also qualified in the state meet in the 100m dash and long jump her senior year. Although Amber didn’t place, she meet her PR (personal record) in both events (she and her twin sister are the only two who made it to state as sprinters their senior year).
Amber is a seven-time OHSAA State Qualifier, and her determination and strength have continued to follow her throughout life. In 2010, Amber married the love of her life, and shortly after graduated (2011) becoming an LPN. Reynoldsburg, Ohio is where Amber now calls home, along with her husband Troy and their two beautiful daughters, Allanna and Lyla.
