In track, he earned the honors of Most Valuable Athlete, First Team All League for two years, and ran on the mile relay team that placed 3rd in the state and held the record at HTHS for 20-plus years.
Duane has a daughter (Alaina) and two grandchildren (Macy and Landon). He is a supervisor for the City of Columbus, Division of Electricity. Duane still loves sports, and is an avid golfer and played basketball for 30 years after graduating. He can also be found at many high school football and basketball games, and the state track meets every year.
