Tom Motika

Tom, a 1977 graduate from Hamilton Township, lettered in basketball and baseball while a Ranger. As a junior, he was named to the All Metro League second team in basketball. In his senior year, he was the only player in the league unanimously picked for the All Metro League first team in basketball. He was also named to the All District second team, and was Special Mention All State.

Tom played basketball at Otterbein before graduating from The Ohio State University in 1982. He began his teaching career at Hamilton Township in the fall of 1982. Tom coached varsity football for four years, boys basketball for nine years, and girls basketball for one season. He retired after spending more than three decades working at Hamilton Local Schools.

Tom has been married to his wife, Beth, since 1987, and they have two daughters, Christina and Heidi.
