Jon Morris

Jon began his teaching career at HTHS in 1983 teaching OWE. He took on the role of Assistant Girls Basketball Coach while also serving as the Faculty Manager that first year. In 1984, Jon renewed the Boys and Girls Cross Country program and was also named Head Girls Basketball Coach which he coached for two seasons. That same year he became the PA announcer for our football program. He was named an Assistant Track and Field Coach in 1985 and then in 1987 was named the Head Boys Track and Field Coach. He held that position until 2001. He retired after 29 years with the district in 2012. 

During his tenure, his teams won 3 MSL titles, 2 District titles and 1 Regional Title. His team finished three times in the top ten at the State meet! Jon had many MSL champions, District champions, Regional champions as well as 10 All Ohioans. He earned several accolades while coaching at Hamilton:

• 1989 – MSL Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year

• 1995 & 998- MSL Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year

• 1995 & 1996- Division II District Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year

Jon and his wife, Kari reside in Clermont, Florida with their son, Trevor. He also has two daughters, Judi and Katie and four grandchildren.
