Gail Bailey

Gail has been employed by Hamilton Local Schools for nearly 30 years, and has had the pleasure of working at Hamilton Township High School her entire career.  Her parents, Luther and JoAnn Crabtree moved to Hamilton Meadows back in 1959 when she and her siblings were all young. Gail has two brothers, Mike and Duane, and one sister, Vickie. Each of them graduated from Hamilton Township High School. Gail’s parents became involved with the boosters while she and her siblings were all in high school. Gail also participated on the drill team for two years during her time at HTHS

In October of 1973, Gail married Mike Bailey. They decided to stay in the area and raise their children.  Gail and Mike are the parents of Kelley (HTHS class of 1995), Kristi (HTHS class of 1998), and Kevin (HTHS class of 2000). They have all returned to the Hamilton area, and their children now attend Hamilton schools.

Gail was involved with the PTO at Central Elementary for several years while her children attended school there. She became Treasurer of the PTO and held that position until the district hired her.

Gail became involved in Hamilton sports a few years after she was hired.  She has worked the ticket gates and concessions for many football games as well as concessions and scoring for wrestling meets. And, for those of you who have ever attended an HTHS track meet, Gail was always that final face our runners would see at the finish line!

Although Gail will be retiring this year, she will always be a Ranger. As current Hall of Fame Member Elmo Kallner has always said,  “Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger!”

Gail would like to thank all the coaches that she had the privilege to work with over the years. She is truly honored to be receiving the Ranger Athletic Award of Merit.
